A player who asked to remain anonymous struck a progressive jackpot worth $1,174,483.11 on Oct. 25 while playing an IGT Wheel of Fortune Cash Link Reels Double Diamond slot at Park MGM, casino officials and machine maker International Game Technology confirmed. The win was publicly highlighted by the resort in early November as part of its roster of recent jackpot announcements across the Las Vegas Valley.
According to an IGT spokesperson, the machine is part of the company’s Cash Link progressive network, which links contributions from multiple cabinets to deliver large top prizes. The jackpot paid on a $10 base wager, a reminder of how linked progressives can produce seven-figure payouts on relatively modest stakes when the top prize has been building for some time.
