Seminole Hard Rock Launches 35-Day ‘Hard Rock the Holidays’ Light Spectacular
Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, will stage a 35-day themed holiday light show at its Guitar Hotel from November 29 to January 3.
The resort has announced “Hard Rock the Holidays”, a large-scale seasonal display that will illuminate the 24-acre Guitar Hotel pool deck and surrounding grounds with more than 2 million LED lights, more than 20 themed areas and family attractions. The show is set to run from November 29 through January 3 and includes a nightly Guitar Hotel Light & Music Show synchronized to holiday classics.
Hard Rock International chairman and Seminole Gaming chief executive Jim Allen said the event is intended to be both a community celebration and a new seasonal tradition.
This event is about more than lights and music; it’s about creating meaningful moments for our guests, families, and especially children, whose wonder and excitement remind us what the holiday season is truly about. We’re proud to celebrate and give back to the South Florida community that has supported us for so many years, and to begin a new holiday tradition that families can enjoy for generations to come."
Visitors will enter through the Gates of the Glowing Grove, flanked by two 13-foot illuminated deer, and progress through themed settings including the North Pole Passage, Frozen Flame, Santa’s Celestial Ride and the Crystal Forest. Key attractions include a 50-foot Tree of Wonder, a 40-foot Cathedral of Light with animated projections, and the Penguin Promenade featuring 50 illuminated animal sculptures. A signature element – the Snowflake Skyline – will display 36 illuminated snowflakes across the Lucky Street parking structure, while a Forest of Lights will showcase more than 350 lit trees and hedges.
Tickets, Attractions and Family Highlights
The display will combine walk-through and lagoon-based elements across six themed islands, such as Santa Rocks!, Elf’s Landing and Candy Cane Cove. Family-friendly activities include a Junior Holiday Rockstars scavenger hunt with eight stations and a completion badge; seasonal food and beverage offerings such as Santa’s Snack Emporium and Ms. Claus’s Kitchen; and premium add-ons including photo opportunities with Santa and a Conductor’s VIP Path featuring themed cabanas and a commemorative tumbler.
Hard Rock said Unity by Hard Rock members will be offered pre-sale access and special pricing, and there will be family four-pack deals available. The resort has indicated that logistics such as crowd flow, photo zones and food station placement have been planned around health and safety considerations, with team members managing staggered entry times during peak nights.
Holiday Outdoor Décor of Allentown, Pennsylvania, the designer and installer for the project, is responsible for the lights, structural mounts and electrical integration. A spokesperson for the firm said, "Large-format installations require detailed engineering and coordination across lighting, power and structural teams. We designed this display to be visually striking from multiple vantage points while meeting safety and durability standards for nightly operation over the winter season."
Beyond spectacle, the resort has emphasized community engagement opportunities throughout the run, including family programming and local partnerships. The event joins a growing list of destination holiday displays in Florida and nationally, where themed light shows and immersive experiences have become an expanding segment of hospitality and leisure offerings during the winter months.

Installation and testing for the display are scheduled in the weeks leading up to the November 29 opening, with Holiday Outdoor Décor overseeing on-site commissioning and final safety checks. The production is expected to generate incremental visitation for the property during the holiday period and provide seasonal employment for local crews and contractors.
Visitors should plan for increased traffic around the Hollywood resort on weekends and holidays, and can expect a mix of free and ticketed elements. The resort has said proceeds from selected on-site activations will support community initiatives in South Florida during the holiday season. For guests seeking a premium experience, a range of VIP packages and merchandise options will be offered throughout the festival run.
