New VP of Strategy and Operations at Pragmatic Play

Bhotesh Maheshwari has been appointed by Pragmatic Play, the iGaming content provider, as its new Vice President of Commercial Strategy and Operations. It is hoped that he will help the company reinforce its status as a top tier supplier in regulated markets.

Maheshwari’s role will require him to oversee commercial operations and develop closer product partnerships with Europe’s leading gambling operators while still working to expand Pragmatic Play’s presence in other regulated markets around the world.

He will also be leading the company’s office in Gibraltar, which serves the UK, German, Spanish and Portuguese markets, and will have three executives under him to help the company achieve its regional goals.

In the past, Maheshwari has worked for top tier operators and suppliers. He began as a retail manager for William Hill (LON: WMH) in 2006 and since then, he has worked with product teams to deliver gaming propositions that are customized for local player markets in the UK, Latin America, and Asia.

After spending eight years performing various commercial and product roles for the land-based industry at William Hill and Inspired Gaming (NASDAQ: INSE), Maheshwari moved to Betfair (LON: FLTR) to work on its online arcade product and he developed an in-house gaming proposition and the innovative timed jackpot offering.

He then moved to the Rank Group (LON: RNK) in Gibraltar in 2016 where he headed casino revenue and product development for the online brands Grosvenorcasinos.com and Meccabingo.com.
