Family-Owned Off-Strip Casino Shows Off New Renovation
Just in time for Labor Day weekend, Ellis Island, an off-Strip casino, completed phase one of its $35 million renovation project. The casino-hotel is known for having low table minimums, solid food, and cheaper drinks.

At Ellis Island, there’s now an all-new gaming space. The casino floor has almost doubled. Other amenities include the following:
● 25-seat bar
● 50-foot-LED screen
● New high-limit slot area
● New location for Boomer’s Sportsbook
Next up is a rooftop bar. It’ll overlook Kovel Lane and will be done in time before Formula One comes to town for the Las Vegas Grand Prix in November.

The Ellis family owns Ellis Island, and it has been in their family since the late 1960s. The next phase of construction will begin in September and will include the casino floor, and will be completed by year’s end.
