Galaxy Macau Signs Partnership to Host UFC Events at Galaxy Arena
Galaxy Entertainment Group has confirmed a new four-year partnership with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) that will bring multiple high-profile mixed martial arts events to Macau. The deal aligns with Macau's efforts to diversify its economy beyond gaming by creating additional tourism drivers through sports and live events.
Between 2026 and 2029, Galaxy Arena, located within the Galaxy Macau integrated resort, will host three UFC Fight Night events as part of the agreement. The partnership is positioned to strengthen Macau's status as a hub for major international sporting events while diversifying its tourism appeal.

This Asia-Pacific-focused competition showcases emerging talent from across the region, giving fighters a chance to earn contracts with the UFC.
The event follows a win-to-advance format across several weight divisions, with winners securing a place in the world's largest mixed martial arts organization. Hosting the series in Macau places the city at the center of a program that has become a vital platform for developing fighters across Asia.
Kevin Kelley, Chief Operating Officer of Galaxy Entertainment Group in Macau, said the partnership is consistent with the Macao SAR Government's broader vision of combining sports with tourism development. He emphasized that local fans will have access to world-class MMA action within their own city, while visitors will be able to experience both Macau's cultural offerings and high-level UFC events.

A New Era for UFC in Asia
UFC President and CEO Dana White described the agreement as a milestone for the sport in China and across the region. He highlighted the timing of the partnership, pointing to the rising global profile of MMA and the UFC's commitment to expanding its reach in Asia. The collaboration with Galaxy Macau marks another step in the UFC's strategy to grow its fan base beyond traditional markets.
The UFC first established its presence in Macau in 2012 when it partnered with Sands China to host a series of events at The Venetian Macao. After an extended absence, the promotion returned in November 2024 when Galaxy Arena hosted UFC Fight Night.
That event drew 12,000 spectators and marked the UFC's first appearance in the territory in more than a decade. The success of that event set the stage for the new multi-year collaboration, which will deliver consistent programming to the city over the next several years.
Galaxy Entertainment Group noted that last year's UFC Fight Night helped showcase Macau as a destination capable of hosting international sporting attractions at scale. By continuing this momentum, the company expects the partnership to enhance the city's global profile in sports entertainment.
