Linda Marston-Weston Appointed as Playtech Non-Executive Director
Playtech (LON: PTEC) has announced that Linda Marston-Weston will be its new Non-Executive Director as of 1 October 2021. The news comes as former Non-Executive Director Claire Milne prepares to step down after five years on the Playtech board.
Marston-Weston has more than three decades of experience working with the UK and global businesses across corporate finance, strategy, culture, and leadership. She was also formerly a senior tax partner at Ernst & Young, head of tax at EY Midlands, a member of the EY Midlands Board, and she has an impressive record mentoring entrepreneurs and building businesses. Amongst her many accomplishments was the foundation of a Female Entrepreneur’s Network for local female-led businesses.
Playtech has also announced that after five years on the company’s board, Senior Independent Director John Jackson will be stepping down from his position, and Ian Penrose will replace him while stepping down from the Nominations Committee.
A number of other changes were announced, including John Krumins becoming a member and chair of the Audit Committee, working alongside Penrose and Weston. The Nominations Committee will continue to be chaired by Brian Mattingley.

Mattingley went on to thank Milne and Jackson for their work over the last five years and for helping to lay the foundations for the company’s future growth. He added, “Claire, in her role as Interim Chair, and John as Senior Independent Director, brought invaluable experience, leadership, and stability to the governance of the company.”
