According to the independent commission's findings, Bowman placed 6,397 bets over an eight-year span between June 2015 and September 2023.

Nearly 2,600 of the bets were placed at Exeter, and over 3,100 bets were placed during his time at Shrewsbury. 351 of the total bets placed were on games involving these two teams.

Eight of Bowman's bets were on games where Shrewsbury was playing, and in three of those matches, he played the full 90 minutes. He also placed six spot bets on himself to score goals during matches.

Investigators also allege that in January 2023, Bowman wagered on Shrewsbury vs MK Dons game while on the substitute’s bench for the same match.

The ban, which was backdated to March, will last until September 2028 and will likely spell the end of Bowman’s senior football career, given his current age.
