Southfield, Michigan to Host Playtech Live Casino Studio
Playtech (LON: PTEC), one of the world’s leading online gambling technology companies, has announced that it has secured a long-term lease for its US-based live casino studio, which is set to be one of the biggest in Michigan.
The new studio will utilize the same state-of-the-art technology and video capabilities as the company’s flagship Riga studio. It will allow Playtech to offer integrated live content across retail and online channels providing a level of live dealer entertainment not yet see in the US. There will be bespoke areas for dedicated operator tables, as well as networked tables, and space to expand as Playtech’s US operations grow.
The new studio is located in Southfield, which is quickly becoming Michigan’s leading technology and innovation hub, and the Michigan regulator has approved it. Not only will it greatly increase Playtech’s US live dealer offering, but it will also provide substantial employment opportunities within Southfield.
This is the latest milestone in Playtech’s US roadmap as it seeks to expand within the country as part of its strategy to provide its software and services within every regulated US state. It comes shortly after the company announced a partnership deal to supply Parx Casino with a number of products across Playtech’s IMS Platform, which will start with the launch of online casino in Michigan.
