Yggdrasil’s Gigablox Mechanic Coming to Reflex Gaming Titles
Reflex Gaming, the YG Masters partner, has signed a deal with Yggdrasil to incorporate the developer’s popular proprietary game mechanic Gigablox™ in its future games.
Yggdrasil’s Gigablox™ has been used in a number of popular games, such as Lucky Neko and Hades, and Reflex Gaming will now be able to utilize it in its own titles. The mechanic allows dynamic reels to create gigantic blocks up to 6x6 stacked. This can potentially lead to huge payouts, and it also allows for Gigablox™ battles, which are a truly innovative feature.
Yggdrasil’s framework offering is part of the YG Masters program, which enables developers to create and distribute titles using Yggdrasil’s GATI technology. GATI is a preconfigured, regulation-ready development toolkit that developers can use to apply standardized technology quickly that enables them to release games far faster than otherwise.
Those on the YG Masters program can actually make use of three of Yggdrasil’s game mechanics, Gigablox™, MultiMAX™ and Splitz™, all of which have proved to help increase player engagement, acquisition and retention.
Through the YG Masters program we have been able to streamline the development process, allowing us to focus on the game design and enabling us to launch exciting titles to a new audience. We have a full game launch schedule for 2021, with some epic releases coming. We are really impressed with what Yggdrasil have done on their games using these mechanics. Our game design team already have ideas on how to deploy these clever slot mechanics on our own upcoming games.
The head of the partner programs at Yggdrasil, Stuart McCarthy, said that the game mechanics allow developers to be confident that new games “will appeal to global players”. He explained that the program helps partners “rapidly develop content for distribution to our vast operator network, while within our framework offering, studios can elevate their portfolios even further.” Finally, he added that Yggdrasil is excited to see what Reflex Gaming does with the Gigablox™ mechanic.
