AffPapa Launches “Affiliates vs Operators” Series to Foster Stronger iGaming Partnerships
AffPapa has officially launched its latest project, a new short-format series titled “Affiliates vs Operators”, aimed at fostering open dialogue between two of the iGaming industry’s most important players.

The initiative brings affiliates and operators together in an unfiltered space to discuss challenges, priorities, and opportunities in a sector that thrives on collaboration.
Unlike traditional panels or staged discussions, the series pairs one affiliate and one operator in each episode, guided by a host. The idea is simple but impactful: let the two sides speak frankly about what truly matters in partnership management, from aligning expectations to addressing pain points that often go unspoken.
Over the years at AffPapa, we’ve been right in the middle of the conversations between affiliates and operators. We launched the series to bridge the gap in bringing both sides closer and perhaps have them see things from a different angle. Kudos to my first guests for kicking things off so well in the first episode.
She added that by making the series publicly available, the goal is to extend this exchange of perspectives to the wider iGaming community, allowing affiliates and operators who weren’t part of the discussion to still benefit from the insights.

Episode 1 Insights: Building Trust Through Communication
The premiere episode featured Nikoleta Hristova, COO at Vegas Legends, and Filippo Anzalone, Head of Sales at Odds Scanner Group. The conversation covered topics such as red flags in partnerships, common misconceptions, work-life balance, and the need for trust.
For Anzalone, representing the affiliate side, the experience felt refreshingly authentic:
“It wasn’t your typical Q&A, we had a real back-and-forth that made the whole conversation flow naturally. We touched on real challenges, shared some laughs, and kept things both insightful and entertaining.”
Meanwhile, Hristova underlined the importance of communication in sustaining partnerships:
“There are no bad affiliates or bad operators – only bad communication and misaligned expectations. If we want real growth, we have to start talking like partners, not like silos.”
