Jake Paul-Linked Gambling App Betr Arcade Launches in the US
Betr, the gambling and fantasy sports company co-founded by Joey Levy and influencer-boxer Jake Paul, has officially launched Betr Arcade, a real-money, peer-to-peer, skill-based gaming platform. The new offering went live this week inside the existing Betr Picks daily fantasy sports app, expanding the company's presence in the US gaming market.

The announcement came on Wednesday through Levy's social media accounts, where he shared a video of Paul playing one of the platform's featured games, called 21. Betr Arcade initially debuted with four titles: 21, Fruit Match, Crossout 21, and 5 Across.
These games are designed as head-to-head contests in which players compete against each other rather than the house. Each requires a minimum wager of $1.25, with the option to practice in a non-wagering mode before entering real-money competitions.
Levy stated that Betr Arcade represents the company's new social casino skill games product, which is live in 29 states at launch. He added that several new titles are planned for release over the coming weeks and months, along with additional verticals within the Betr app that are expected to expand its offerings beyond fantasy contests and skill-based games.
Levy credited the company's team for extensive preparation ahead of the launch and emphasized that the platform will continue to grow rapidly with more announcements forthcoming.
Currently, legal online casino gambling is available in only seven states, leaving a large portion of the US market underserved. Betr Arcade aims to fill that gap with peer-to-peer skill contests, which do not fall under the same regulatory framework as traditional casino gaming.

Although Betr has not disclosed the specific 29 states where Arcade is now operational, the company's website shows that Betr Picks is active in 32 jurisdictions, 15 of which only allow peer-to-peer games due to compliance requirements.
Among the markets where Betr Picks and Betr Arcade are available are California, Florida, and Texas. In California, fantasy sports operators have moved away from against-the-house "pick 'em" style contests after scrutiny from Attorney General Rob Bonta.
Tribal operators in California hold exclusive rights to casino gambling, but statewide legislation to authorize online casinos has not advanced. Betr's model of peer-to-peer skill contests enables it to remain active under existing state laws.
In Florida, where the Seminole Tribe maintains a near-exclusive hold over gambling operations, Betr has also established a presence with its peer-to-peer fantasy sports contests and now with Arcade. The company adjusted its offerings there after the Florida Gaming Control Commission issued cease-and-desist orders in February 2024 to Betr, PrizePicks, and Underdog Fantasy.
Regulators ordered the operators to halt their against-the-house pick 'em products, which were deemed non-compliant with state law. Betr's pivot toward peer-to-peer competitions enabled it to continue operating in the state, and Arcade now extends that presence with new skill-based formats.
