Anna de Kerckhove Becomes Senior Independent Director at 888

888 Holdings (LON: 888) has announced the appointment of Anne de Kerckhove as a senior independent director. She brings with her more than 15 years of experience in a number of companies and is considered a true veteran of the marketing, technology, and entertainment industry.

De Kerckhove has been a non-executive director and chair of the nominations committee since joining 888 in November 2017. At present, she is the acting CEO of Freespee and the Iron Group, based in London. Freespee is a collaboration tool that can be used for marketing, sales and customer support while the Iron Group specializes in developing and investing in the digital subscription space

In the past, De Kerckhove was the Managing Director EMEA for Videology, an online advertising platform, and she oversaw the company’s expansion into more than sixteen countries in less than three years. Furthermore, De Kerckhove is on the boards of 7digital, WeMoms, and Snowite, and she is an angel investor and mentor for a number of startups and entrepreneurial funds such as Metail, CRE and Daphni.

Along the way, De Kerckhove has also found time to hold senior positions at companies such as Iron Capital, Reed Elsevier, and Influenced Gaming.

De Kerckhove is taking on her new role during a transitional period for 888. The company’s current acting chairman, Brian Mattingley, is set to leave in June to become Playtech’s new non-executive chairman. While both Playtech and 888 Holdings develop casino games, they also have a long history of cooperation and recently partnered for a number of RNG and live casino games.

With her extensive experience as an entrepreneur and investor, as well as her strong track record on the Board and its Committees, Anne is a real asset for 888 as it continues to grow and pursue its strategic objectives. I am delighted that she has agreed to take on the Senior Independent Director role.
