Playtech Signs Deal with Parx Casino Operator Greenwood Racing
Playtech (LON: PTEC), one of the gambling industry’s biggest developers of games and software, has announced that it will be increasing its presence in the US. Specifically, it has signed a new agreement with the Parx Casino operator Greenwood Racing that will bring Playtech products to Michigan, Indiana and Pennsylvania.
Playtech has already entered the US market in New Jersey thanks to deals with Bet365, and BetMGM, the joint venture between MGM (NYSE: MGM) and Entain (LON: ENT). However, this deal marks the first time that Playtech will expand outside of the state.
Greenwood Racing operates Pennsylvania’s largest land casino as well as online casino and sports betting within the state. It also operates online gambling and sports betting in New Jersey and Michigan. At present, the operator uses GAN for its iGaming platform, but the new deal will see it make the change to Playtech.

Furthermore, Greenwood Racing is set to launch a new iGaming product in Michigan, where Playtech holds a platform license, as well as in Indiana, where the Parx brand has already announced its intention to launch.
This strategic partnership with the Greenwood companies represents a major milestone for Playtech and I’m excited to work with them to help achieve their growth plans in the coming years. The US is a highly strategic market and this multi-state, multi-product agreement highlights the demand for the full breadth of our product offering. This is the next step for Playtech in the US and we are delighted to work with the Greenwood companies to capture this exciting long-term opportunity.
