Industry leaders gather to examine how operators can navigate one of the world’s fastest-growing yet most fragmented gaming regions.

On Thursday, 11 June 2026, Stage Five of SBC Summit Americas will host the Latin America Sports Betting & Casino track, bringing together operators, suppliers, regulators and technology specialists to explore the forces reshaping betting and casino markets across the continent. The track is designed to address the practical realities of operating in Latin America, where mobile-first engagement, accelerating regulation and sharply different national frameworks continue to define commercial strategy.

Technology, Regulation and Mobile-First Growth

The Latin America track will focus heavily on how technology and regulation are influencing player behaviour and product design. Sessions will explore the role of artificial intelligence and machine learning in understanding bettors, refining personalisation and improving long-term engagement in markets where mobile usage dominates.

Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and Founder of SBC, said the region’s growth potential depends on local understanding rather than one-size-fits-all approaches.

“As more countries across Latin America embrace a regulated gaming market, success depends on understanding the demands of local players, creating product catalogues that are designed for mobile, and applying technology in a way that enhances trust, safety, and long-term engagement. This track examines how operators and suppliers can innovate to create great player experiences and build businesses that work for the diverse markets across Latin America.”

Opening the programme is The LatAm Betting Boom: Technology and the User Experience, a panel examining how operators are using data-driven tools to tailor products for a mobile-first audience. Speakers will discuss how AI helps identify expansion opportunities and supports collaboration between operators and suppliers.

Betting, Casino and Lottery Innovation

Another key session, The Future of Sports Betting in Latin America, will analyse the region’s rapid commercial expansion, assessing how new regulation, rising investment and improving infrastructure are creating opportunities for international and regional brands. Panellists will also consider which markets currently offer the strongest growth potential and how operators can position themselves competitively.

Mobile performance will be addressed in Mobile-First Design: Games Designed for Being on the Go, which looks at how suppliers are adapting gameplay, interfaces and performance for players who engage almost exclusively on smartphones.

Lottery innovation is also on the agenda. Cross-Platform and Cross-Channel Innovation: The Future of National Lotteries in South America will examine how lottery operators are modernising by combining retail, mobile and online participation, while introducing instant games to diversify player engagement beyond traditional draws.

Speakers and Wider Summit Context

Confirmed speakers across the Latin America track include Marcos Bonetti of Appuesta, Ximena Martinez of WPlay, Emilia Perez of Rush Street Interactive, Andrea Rossi of Betsson Group and Pablo Viana Ruiz de Aguirre of RETAbet.

The Latin America Sports Betting & Casino track forms part of a broader programme at SBC Summit Americas, alongside dedicated tracks covering Payments & Tech, Regulation & Compliance, Leaders and Player Protection. Organisers say the structure is designed to help delegates understand not only market opportunities, but also the operational and regulatory challenges shaping long-term success in the Americas.
