SJM's Casino Grandview to Shut Down on July 30
SJM Resorts has announced that Casino Grandview will close its doors permanently on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. According to the company, the move aligns with its overall business strategy and commercial planning ahead of Macau's full implementation of its revised gaming law in 2026.

The gaming tables currently in operation at Casino Grandview will be relocated to other SJM casinos. The company has also assured that it will honor all customer entitlements. After Casino Grandview's closure, customers with unredeemed chips, deposits, or cash rebates are asked to visit the Casino Casa Real cage at Avenida do Dr. Rodrigo Rodrigues to arrange for further processing.
Additionally, all local SJM employees will be reassigned to other SJM casinos to fill gaming-related positions based on business requirements. Non-SJM employees at Casino Grandview will be given priority consideration for relevant job openings within the Group and receive support to ease their transition.
The company said in a press release, "SJM will carry out all necessary arrangements in accordance with legal requirements to ensure an orderly transition. As always, the company remains committed to fulfilling its corporate responsibilities and contributing to the stable development of Macau's gaming sector in partnership with the local community."

Closures and Consolidation
As a subsidiary of SJM Holdings Limited, SJM Resorts operates several properties in key locations across Macau, including Casino Emperor Palace and Casino Grand Lisboa Palace.
The company had earlier unveiled its plans to revamp its satellite casino operations in Macau in June. In addition to Casino Grandview, SJM would cease operations at other six satellite casinos, including Casino Casa Real, Casino Emperor Palace, Casino Fortuna, Casino Kam Pek Paradise, Casino Landmark, and Casino Legend Palace when their current agreements expire by the end of the year.
Effective January 1, 2026, satellite casinos must adopt direct ownership or non-profit-sharing management models and operate within concessionaire-owned properties. SJM intends to continue operations at Casino L'Arc Macau and Casino Ponte 16 by purchasing the buildings that house the satellite casinos.
