Momentum Building for the Betting Firm

Stake.com has been in the news quite frequently recently, the latest being the lucrative £10 million per year sponsorship of Premier League football club Everton. One year prior to this, the crypto gambling and betting firm also signed recently relegated Watford to its portfolio of sports entities.

At the time, Head of Acquisition for Stake.com, Akhil Sarin, commenting: “We are incredibly proud to be partnering with Everton, a club steeped in tradition and with a passionate and loyal fanbase respected the world over. Everton is a club that perfectly complements our own growth ambitions as we seek to expand our presence globally and strengthen our top-tier sports sponsorship portfolio.

It’s a huge honor for everyone at Stake.com to be joining the Everton family and playing our part in supporting the Club in the transition to the new stadium. We look forward to celebrating this most exciting chapter in the Club’s history with Evertonians everywhere.

Such activity for Stake.com reflects the size of its ambition to become a leading sportsbook and casino and really stand out in the marketplace. This is certainly reflected through the sponsorship of the National Volleyball League - a sport that they can help to increase its popularity due to the firm’s marketing and media network. As such, this will also contribute to Stake.com possibly being regarded as specialists in more alternative sports and growing their betting participation.

While, perhaps at the minute, volleyball might not be regarded as one of the major sports when it comes to betting numbers, there is no doubt that it does have a following of fans.

Targeting these in the right way and using the correct techniques will be important for Stake.com, and via the sponsorship of a major competition, this could well go a long way to doing so.

Over the course of the year, many eyes in the industry will be on the betting firm as it looks to really establish itself as a dominant force. It certainly is going to be interesting to see whether there are similar deals in the pipeline.
