Tribal Leadership Marks a New Chapter

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will feature remarks from the Ione Band of Miwok Indians Tribal Council, reflecting the project’s cultural and economic significance. Tribal citizens and community partners are expected to join the event, underscoring the casino’s role as both a business venture and a long-term investment in regional development.

Casino management representatives, including General Manager Jake Zanetta, will also be available for interviews. Media attending the event will be given early access to the property, including opportunities to film the gaming floor and hospitality areas before the venue opens to the public.

The project represents years of planning and development. Tribal leadership has positioned Acorn Ridge as more than a gaming venue, describing it as a hospitality-driven destination focused on comfort, openness and guest service.

Gaming, Dining and Outdoor Entertainment

Acorn Ridge Casino will offer 484 slot machines and 12 table games, providing a mix of traditional and modern gaming options. The casino floor has been designed with spacious layouts and updated technology, aiming to create a contemporary environment distinct from older regional gaming properties.

Beyond gaming, the property includes an outdoor entertainment venue intended to host live events and community gatherings. The addition of an open-air space reflects a broader industry trend toward diversified entertainment offerings rather than a gaming-only focus.

Dining is anchored by Stone Creek Kitchen, the casino’s flagship restaurant. The concept emphasizes farm-to-fork cuisine, drawing from local producers and ingredients in keeping with the agricultural character of Amador County and the surrounding foothill region.

Public Opening on February 24

While the February 23 ceremony is private, the casino will officially open to the general public on Tuesday, February 24. Located at 17500 State Highway 49 in Plymouth, the site is positioned to attract visitors from across Northern California.

The launch adds a new entertainment option to the region and is expected to generate employment opportunities and additional tourism activity. Local leaders have highlighted the potential economic impact, particularly for nearby businesses and service providers.

For the Ione Band of Miwok Indians, the opening of Acorn Ridge Casino represents both a commercial milestone and a visible symbol of tribal enterprise. As the ribbon is cut and the drone show lights the sky, the project transitions from anticipation to operation, introducing a new destination to California’s foothill gaming landscape.
