Entain and Scientific Games Extend Platform Deal

Entain (LON: ENT) and Scientific Games (NASDAQ: SGMS) have agreed on a three-year extension to their content aggregation platform partnership.

The deal means that Entain will maintain its access to Scientific Games’ OpenGaming ecosystem. Entain operates a number of major brands, such as Ladbrokes, Coral, bwin, PartyCasino, and Gala (TYO: 4777), and the deal allows them to use the content aggregation platform to access over 3,000 iGaming titles from a number of studios as well as responsible gambling tools.

The deal covers Entain’s operations in the UK, Germany, Greece, Italy, Spain, and Portugal.

Over a number of years, OpenGaming has been a key component of our online gaming offer, helping to establish it as the world’s biggest and best casino portfolio. Extending our partnership with Scientific Games will enable us to continue to build our market share in regulated markets in Europe and beyond.

The senior vice president of gaming for digital at Scientific Games, Dylan Slaney, said that they have a large roadmap of new releases planned that will become available to the Entain brands over the coming months through the platform. He added that thanks to the regulatory tools that are part of the OpenGaming platform, the company is in a strong position to “provide valuable support for Entain as the group grows its reach within regulated markets.”

The deal was announced on the same day that Entain launched a series of international initiatives to support girls and young women interested in pursuing careers in technology. They have donated US$250,000 to Girls Who Code, an international non-profit organization that works to close the gender gap in technology, and a further AUS$50,000 to the Tech Girls Movement, which aims to challenge gender perceptions that limit girls’ participation in STEM through school-based early intervention programs.
