The collaboration is structured to combine FanDuel's technological expertise and brand recognition in sports betting with Delaware North's longstanding experience in gaming and hospitality. By working together, the companies aim to strengthen their offerings in the West Virginia market, one of the first states in the US to legalize online sports wagering and casino games.

Jonathan Edson, Senior Vice President of Business Development at FanDuel, emphasized that Delaware North has built a strong reputation in gaming and hospitality over several decades and represents an ideal partner for the company's ongoing operations in West Virginia. The agreement reinforces FanDuel's commitment to the state while providing opportunities to grow alongside an established partner.

FanDuel first entered the West Virginia market in August 2019 and has since established a steady presence through its sportsbook at The Greenbrier. Beyond West Virginia, the operator is preparing for its launch in Missouri following a market access agreement with St. Louis City SC, the Major League Soccer club. That agreement, signed in August 2025, will give FanDuel the ability to operate sports betting in Missouri once regulatory approvals are secured.

Delaware North, through its Betly iCasino platform, has also been strengthening its digital presence in West Virginia. On September 17, the platform reintroduced Evolution's suite of live dealer and online slot games for customers in the state, with additional launches expected before the end of the year. This development highlights Delaware North's commitment to expanding its entertainment options for players, complementing the new arrangement with FanDuel.

A Step Forward for Delaware North

Lee Terfloth, Chief Interactive iGaming Officer at Delaware North, said the collaboration reflects Delaware North's mission to bring trusted and innovative experiences to its customers, describing FanDuel as a key ally in achieving that goal. The agreement demonstrates how the two companies intend to combine strengths to deliver competitive products in a growing market.

In addition to its expansion efforts, FanDuel has continued to broaden its product offerings across the US. On August 28, the company launched FanDuel Picks, a peer-to-peer fantasy sports product, in 17 states.

The game allows participants to select between three to six players, predict whether those players will perform above or below projected statistics, and set a wager amount. This new product highlights FanDuel's efforts to diversify its portfolio while engaging sports fans in multiple formats.

The West Virginia partnership with Delaware North ensures that FanDuel maintains a central role in one of its original regulated markets. The timing also aligns with broader expansion plans, as FanDuel prepares to enter Missouri and explores new opportunities across the US.
