Major Upgrades to MGM Resorts Loyalty Program

MGM Resorts has announced that it is to launch a reimagined and rebranded loyalty rewards program next month.

The new program, which will be rebranded from M Life Rewards to MGM Rewards, is designed to offer better access and benefits to guests at MGM properties across the US. It will enable customers to earn points when they play, stay, or dine at a property, whereas in the past, it was only possible to earn points by gambling.

However, there will still be special incentives for gamblers. For example, slot players will be able to earn Slot Dollars, previously called PointPlay, by gambling at the US casinos. The scheme will retain the five current member tiers, Sapphire, Pearl, Gold, Platinum, and Noir.

Those who reach the Pearl level will receive complimentary tickets to MGM Rewards concerts, and their points or Slot Dollars will not expire. At the Gold tier, resort fees are waived, and members receive access to exclusive events. Platinum members will receive travel credits to Las Vegas, accommodation upgrades, and 4pm checkouts from hotels.

The MGM Rewards app will be updated to include the new enhancements, and the rewards program will be integrated with BetMGM, the operator’s online brand. Furthermore, rewards can also be earned at the operator’s partner brands such as Hyatt Hotels, Southwest Airlines, Avis Rental Cars, Royal Caribbean, and Celebrity Cruise Lines.
