Pennsylvania Gaming Revenue Sets New Record in May 2025
May 2025 has proven to be a phenomenal month for the Pennsylvania gaming sector, with the industry raking in $601.8 million in revenue in the month, a 15.5% rise year-over-year. It is also the first month the state’s total gaming revenue will exceed the $600 million mark.

Regarding individual casino performance, Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course topped Pennsylvania’s gaming market in the month with $107.1 million in revenue, an increase of 31.2% year-over-year.
Valley Forge Casino generated $105.8 million in gaming revenue, becoming the only other establishment to earn over $100 million in May. The figure represents a 33% rise when compared with the previous year.
Park Casino claimed the third spot with 59.1 million, up by 4.4% year-over-year, while Rivers Casino Philadelphia saw its revenue increase by 14.5% to $58.3m. Hollywood Casino at the Meadows also experienced a strong performance in May, with its gaming revenue increasing over 18% from the prior year to $33.5 million.
In contrast to the overall trend, Wind Creek Bethlehem and Rivers Casino Pittsburgh saw decreases of 1.9% to $45.4 million and 1.6% to $31.9 million.
Slots Lead the Way
Retail slots were the most popular gaming option amongst Pennsylvania residents in May, generating $224.9 million and posting a 5% year-over-year increase. Online slots also drove growth, with revenue rising by 39.6% to $177.2 million.
Retail table games revenue fell 4.6% year-over-yet but still produced $79.9 million in revenue. Sports betting and iGaming tables saw gains of 34.4% to $59.4 million and 17.8% to $52.9 million, respectively.

Sports Betting See Growth
In May, sports bettors in the state wagered a total of $655.4 million, representing a 10.7% rise from the same period last year. Total sports betting revenue reached $59.4 million, comprising $56.4 million from online betting and $3 million from retail betting.
Valley Forge Casino recorded the highest handle and revenue at $252.8 million and $28.4 million respectively. Hollywood Casino at the Meadows followed with $168.9 million in handle and $15.7 million in revenue.
Hollywood Casino York and the sportsbook at Penn National Race Course reported $2.8 million and $2.6 million in sports betting revenue, respectively.
