Playtech Launch the Money Drop Live

Gambling technology company Playtech (LON: PTEC) has launched its latest live gameshow, The Money Drop Live, based upon the popular Banijay-owned brand.

Fans of the television series, which is known as The Million Pound Drop and The £100K Drop in the UK, are sure to recognize the format of the new game. The TV show has been adapted for more than 50 countries, so the new gameshow is bound to attract players from across the world.

The Money Drop Live is far from Playtech’s first collaboration with Banijay Brands. Last year saw the launch of Deal or No Deal – The Big Draw, which was a huge success.

The new game is based upon a fortune wheel that features multipliers of up to 5000x. Any multiplier other than 8x will trigger the Drop Zones games, which follow the brand’s original format and requires players to split their money to try to win big. One of the four Drop Zones is always safe and guarantees winnings. When the wheel stops on 8x, the Quick Drop game is triggered, and players must place everything in one zone for a thrilling all-in gamble. There is also a Card Clash bonus game that gives players the chance to win additional multipliers.
