New Jersey Obtains New Standalone Casino from FanDuel
The FanDuel Group has taken the opportunity to lose its own standalone casino product in the state of New Jersey. This comes about after announcing its live dealer studio launch in Michigan in collaboration with Evolution Gaming (STO: EVO).
The FanDuel Casino product has been provided via the sportsbook app that is available in New Jersey. However, the new product has now been launched as a way of providing the state’s players with what it defines as a “dedicated online casino experience” instead of having the two gambling options paired together.
Through the standalone casino application, the standard casino options will be available for players to access. This includes the possibility of playing table games like blackjack and roulette, as well as online slot machines and others.
This doesn’t mean that the casino will no longer be accessible through the FanDuel Sportsbook app. That will continue as normal. New players will have the option of signing up for a separate casino account or utilizing their sports betting or fantasy sports betting account for it.
The move comes after news broke recently about the brand’s launch of its own live dealer studio for the state of Michigan. Pairing up with Evolution Gaming, FanDuel allows those residents based in The Wolverine State to access exciting live casino game options. This was all made possible thanks to the authorization from the Michigan Gaming Control Board.
Both of these moves show exactly how widely FanDuel is casting its net. The United States started out benefitting from the company’s fantasy sports betting possibilities, and then once the PASPA law was struck down in 2018, things got even better. FanDuel was able to start providing online sports betting options as well as casino gaming in some U.S. states as they introduced their own legislation.
