Per Jaldung Steps Assumes CEO Role at Grand Casino Brussels Viage
Per Jaldung, the former CEO at Casino Cosmopol, was recently named as the new chief executive of Grand Casino Brussels Viage in Belgium.
Jaldung announced the news on LinkedIn and said that he will assume his new role in Brussels on December 11. The casino, a prominent venue in Belgium’s capital, is owned by Casinos Austria International.
Jaldung's Previous Employment
Jaldung's move to Grand Casino Brussels Viage comes slightly over a year since his departure from Casino Cosmopol, a well-known Swedish land-based casino operated by Svenska Spel. Jaldung had an extensive career at Casino Cosmopol, spanning nearly 21 years, including a 14-and-a-half-year stint as the CEO. His professional background also includes over nine years in law enforcement, primarily at Sweden’s National Criminal Investigation Department.
I am really looking forward to getting back into the casino world. I have missed it and I can’t wait to get on board with the experienced team at Viage.
Work at the European Casino Association
Apart from his new role, Jaldung has been actively involved in the European Casino Association, serving as its chairman from February 2015 to February 2023. Following the conclusion of his term, he was named the honorary president of the organization earlier this year. Erwin van Lambaart succeeded him as chairman after receiving unanimous approval from the members.
In related news, Svenska Spel, the parent company of Casino Cosmopol, announced a leadership change. Patrik Hofbauer, who has been with Svenska Spel since December 2018 and served as its CEO for nearly five years, is set to leave. Hofbauer will be stepping down from his roles as president and CEO early next year to assume the position of president and CEO at the Swedish telecommunications firm, Telia Company.
