SBC Summit Lisbon 2025 Shatters Records with Global Growth

Lisbon cemented itself as the capital of the gaming world between September 16-18, 2025, as the SBC Summit returned bigger and stronger than ever. This year’s edition drew more than 30,000 registered attendees to the Portuguese capital, marking a 20% increase in attendance compared to 2024, and confirming the summit’s position as the fastest-growing event in the global gaming calendar.

The 2025 summit set new standards across every measurable category. The exhibition and conference floor expanded to 135,000 m², up from 110,000 m² last year, accommodating 700 sponsors and exhibitors. Of those, 235 were brand new, reflecting the rapid diversification of the industry.

The event also hosted 550+ speakers, covering critical discussions across gaming, sports betting, technology, regulation, and investment. Perhaps even more striking was the high-level nature of attendance, with 5,969 C-level decision makers on-site. Operator attendance increased by 31%, while affiliate participation rose by 38%, signaling a shift toward deeper industry collaboration.

Worldwide Audience and Industry Icons

The SBC Summit Lisbon 2025 gathered representatives from 150 countries, including 16 markets that were new compared to 2024. Regional growth was particularly strong in Africa (+78.2%), Asia (+68.8%), and Latin America (+40.4%), reflecting the expanding importance of emerging markets in the iGaming ecosystem. Europe saw a 49% boost, while North America grew by 20.9%. Even Oceania posted an 18.6% increase in attendance.

The stage welcomed some of the most influential voices across business, technology, and sport. Gary Vaynerchuk, the serial entrepreneur and marketing powerhouse, and Randi Zuckerberg, Founder & CEO of Zuckerberg Media, delivered headline keynotes. They were joined by Rubens Barrichello, the legendary F1 driver, and Oleksandr Usyk, the undisputed heavyweight boxing champion, who both brought unique perspectives to the event.

Adding star power to the summit’s entertainment side, football legends such as Alessandro Del Piero, Roberto Carlos, Gaizka Mendieta, Marek Hamšík, and Giorgos Karagounis connected with attendees, reinforcing the cultural ties between sports and gaming.
