Situated overlooking the Outer Harbour, the 35-story MGM Casino Macau was the second Las Vegas-style resort to open in Macau. The glass-curved exterior, which is divided into three horizontal waves of copper, blue, and gold, reflects the waters of the Nam Van Lake and the South China Sea. It boasts 600 rooms, including 18 “villas” and 99 suites. The interior mimics the exterior of the building, with the same wavy walls and curved mirrors. The hotel lobby leads off into the Grande Praca, which is a towering European-style piazza. In the middle, there’s a massive eight-meter-tall cylindrical aquarium.
