888 Becomes Latest Ontario License Holder
888 (LON: 888), a global casino and sportsbook operator, has acquired an iGaming license for the Ontario market.
After fulfilling all necessary regulatory requirements, the betting and gaming firm was awarded the license by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
The license would enable the company to offer the 888casino plus the poker and sports betting services in the jurisdiction when the market officially launches on April 4.
The Ontario iGaming has been slated to open by April 4 with operators that had registered with the AGCO and received licenses from its online gaming division iGaming Ontario (iGO). Some of these operators include PointsBet and theScore, among others.
