BetCity.nl Becomes Premier Official Wagering Partner of FIH
Leading casino operator BetCity.nl has entered into a sponsorship agreement with the International Hockey Federation (FIH), becoming the first official betting partner of the hockey's world governing body.
The three-year agreement, which starts from now till June 2025, covers the upcoming FIH Hockey Women's World Cup and the FIH Hockey Pro League seasons in the Netherlands. However, BetCity.nl's brand will start getting featured at the FIH Hockey Pro League matches scheduled to hold by May, ending at Nijmegen (Netherlands).
BetCity.nl is one of the biggest betting companies in the Dutch iGaming market. With its partnership with the FIH, it hopes to increase its brand exposure and get more engagement from hockey fans and sports lovers.
The Netherlands have been among the world's top teams in hockey for years. As a 100% Dutch company, we are proud to be affiliated with the FIH and therefore being visible at matches in the Pro League and the Women's Hockey World Cup of our national team!
The historic deal was facilitated by Sportradar, the official betting and gaming data rights partner of the FIH. According to the sports data supplier, supporting FIH's foray into sports betting Is a pleasing move as it would help Introduce hockey to a new and highly engaged group of sports fans.
We've been looking at engaging with the betting industry for some time now, but it was essential for us to do so in a completely trustful environment. Thanks to our collaboration with Sportradar, we've found in BetCity.nl the ideal partner to open the doors of the betting market to hockey. This first-of-a-kind move for us will hopefully generate further similar opportunities in this area in the future.
In a bid to boost its gaming selection, BetCity recently added Stakelogic to its list of partner suppliers. The deal saw the latter provide it with a wide range of live dealer games. It also strengthened its reputation in the global gaming industry by joining the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA).
