BetMGM and Borgata Casino Plan Poker Tournament
Atlantic City-based operator Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa and BetMGM have announced a collaboration that will see them host four high-stakes poker tournaments in January 2023.
The poker championship will feature four tournaments which will all hold within a week at the poker room and central conference centre.
It will come with a $5,300 buy-in, and players will compete to take a larger share of a guaranteed prize pool of $3m, with the last player at the table taking home a guaranteed $1m.
While the event will start on January 2, The final round will be held on January 8.
BetMGM recognizes the strong legacy of tournaments at Borgata and is thrilled to collaborate with the team to bring online qualifiers to ‘The Return.’ In the upcoming months, we look forward to offering online poker players various ways to qualify for this momentous event which will kick off 2023 with a bang!
While BetMGM will host online qualifiers for the event, Borgata Hotel Casino in Atlantic City will be the venue for the multiple in-person qualifiers. It will also play host to two additional guaranteed events in the championship; a $1,000 Borgata Bounty Event and a $10,000 Super Survivor Event.
The return of championship poker to Borgata is a long time coming. Borgata is the premier gaming destination on the East Coast, which includes best-in-class poker tournaments.
Last month BetMGM partnered with Cincinnati Reds in a deal that saw it become the official sports betting sponsor of the Ohio-based baseball club.
