DraftKings has announced its plans to unveil its sportsbook in Vermont today, making it the 26th state the operator will be live in the U.S.

Via the application, bettors in the Green Mountain State will be able to wager on professional sports and sporting events like the Super Bowl. They can also benefit from promotions and exclusive offerings on the platform, such as odds boost, same-game and cross-sport parlays, live betting, and more. Eligible players in Vermont, meaning individuals who are 18 years and older, can download the DraftKings sportsbook app via their Android or iOS devices.

As a Boston-based company, we are thrilled for the opportunity to further expand in the New England region and provide Vermont with access to safe and legal sports betting. This is an exciting time of year with the NFL Playoffs about to kick off, and Vermonters will now have the opportunity to engage with their favorite sports on our industry-leading DraftKings Sportsbook app.

Donation and Entrance to Newly-Launched Vermont Market

As part of its commitment to giving back to the communities where its operations are based, DraftKings has recently donated $25,000 to the Arbor Day Foundation to support a large-scale reforestation planting project throughout Vermont.

The funding will assist the Vermont Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program in its goal of planting 3,500 trees to help form “riparian buffers” along streams and rivers as a way of improving the quality of the water flowing to Lake Champlain.

DraftKings will be competing with other two approved brands, FanDuel and Fanatics, who have also launched their sportsbooks in the newly-launched Vermont market.

Sports betting was legalized in the state in June 2023 when Governor Phil Scott signed House Bill 127 into law. The bill allows for up to six sportsbooks to operate in the state and mandates a 20% tax rate on their adjusted gross sports betting revenue.
