Ontario License Secured for Betano

For Ontario, the last six months have been a whirlwind. Ever since passing legislation to allow online gambling and sports betting, they have both received and approved an influx of applications from operators.

The latest operator to have a license approved is Betano for it to roll out across what is showing signs of becoming a flourishing market in this industry.

Details of the licencing deal indicate that this will run for an initial 12 months, and the operator joins the likes of PointsBet and US big players, FanDuel, DraftKings and BetMGM among others in obtaining a license.

Kaizen Gaming Spreading Its Holdings

Launching in 2012 as a small technology services company to the iGaming industry, Kaizen Gaming has gone from strength to strength, with Betano becoming one of its principal brands.

It perhaps seems fitting that the Greek technology company should celebrate its 10th anniversary year by having an Ontario license approved for its flagship site.

This is just one of a number of wins that the group has had this year, after launching Betano in a number of regions including Bulgaria, while it has also hit the South American market over the last couple of years, after being approved for both Brazil and Chile respectively.

Despite competing against some of the biggest names in the industry, Kaizen appears to be doing things in a logical manner, as its recent win with Ontario suggests - identifying markets early and then putting plans in place.

Merely days ago, Kaizen pounced in recognising that fellow software firm, Real Dealer can help make a difference to its Betano brand and was swift in completing due diligence on a deal taking place - something which Ontario residents will benefit from.

Real Dealer is the real deal. Its cinematic RNG casino games are like nothing we have seen in the market before and deliver unprecedented levels of fun and excitement. It is integrations such as this that allow us to stand out from our rivals and set the standard for others to follow in our core markets of Romania and Greece.

How Will Betano Do in the Ontario Market?

Due to what will be an early entry into a brand new market, it means that Betano has a fighting chance of being able to compete, if can identify a segment that it can challenge in.

While certainly, the brand’s knowledge of European sport (football especially) can be a considerable influential factor over US brands, there is also the site’s aforementioned live casino to think about, particularly after an upgrade to its software.

Effectively, it all comes down to raising awareness in the right way about a potential niche that they can beat the majors in. Of course, in smaller markets such as Greece and Romania, Betano is one of the leaders across the board. Taking this crown in Ontario may prove to be completely different type of challenge.
