Playzido Acquired by Light & Wonder
Light & Wonder, formerly known as Scientific Games, has acquired Playzido, the games and technology developer, in order to enhance its iGaming content capabilities.
Playzido’s proprietary Remote Gaming Server (RGS) platform has long been considered one of the industry’s best for custom game development. As such, it will improve the speed at which Light & Wonder can form partnerships with game studios and operators and develop new content.
The purchase of Playzido, which was launched by Stuart Banks in 2018, will also help Light & Wonder drive its growth across Europe and North America.

The latest acquisition comes soon after Light & Wonder acquired the slots developer Lightning Box, the live casino provider Authentic Gaming, and the games studio ELK Studios.
Dylan Slaney, the CEO at Light & Wonder, explained that the latest acquisition was part of the company’s global strategy and its efforts to advance its cross-platform content capabilities. He said that the Playzido platform will help the company develop and distribute game content globally.
Slaney added, “Light & Wonder is the go-to partner for game development and distribution globally, delivering the perfect combination of technology, network, and services.”
