Social Media Influencers to Show Their Hands in Special WSOP Tournament

The World Series of Poker (WSOP), one of the biggest poker tournaments worldwide, has announced the launch of a new program that will bring together 14 social media influencers to compete with each other in a bid to become a WSOP legend.

The first stage of the program is due to launch this week. The influencers are to be split into five teams, and they will be partnered with WSOP mentors who will train them to “master the game and become poker legends.”

The identity of the influencers has been kept secret, and they are due to be revealed live on Instagram. Those watching will be able to react in real time as the influencers open their secret WSOP boxes and discover against whom they will be competing.

The influencers are said to have come from a wide range of areas, including automotive, comedy, gaming, filmmaking, sports, and fitness. Each one will be coached by a leading WSOP player in an attempt to make them a poker expert.

Rather than take part in the main WSOP, the influencers will compete in a special tournament to be held at the end of this year, in December 2022. The WSOP said that it will “take poker fans on an amazing #RoadToTheTable with live videos and exciting opportunities to interact with their favorite WSOP legends and influencers alike.”

We are thrilled to be launching this unique eight-month-long campaign with 14 popular influencers from a wide range of backgrounds. We really want to bring the love for poker and WSOP to a wider audience and show people just how much fun playing poker can be. We hope that our loyal WSOP players are excited for this new adventure and that they will pick up a few new poker skills and tricks from our soon-to-be poker legends.
