Sportradar Join Forces with Swiss Handball Federation

Supplier of sports integrity services, Sportradar has reportedly entered a multi-year agreement with the Swiss Handball Federation (SHF).

The new deal will see Sportradar provide its proprietary integrity to create innovative solutions in Switzerland’s Handball Federation.

Under the agreement, Sportradar will use its industry experience to secure and watch handball events in the jurisdiction. One of the tools deployed to achieve this goal is the Sportradar’s Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS).

The UFDS is a Sportradar technical bet monitoring and alerting service that helps the company detect suspicious matches and irregular betting in the global market. Since its creation, the UFDS system has uncovered more than 6,500 suspicious games, with 750 of them revealed this year.

With the help of this tool, Sportradar will be able to effectively monitor the Mobiliar Handball Cup, the Quickline Handball League as well as a couple of men’s and women’s matches.

Jürgen Krucker - Managing Director at SHF

Sportradar Integrity Services have a proven track record in the field of sports integrity, and by bringing them on board to monitor our competitions through their UFDS solution, we will have crucial visibility of global betting activity surrounding our competitions.

Sportradar has entered into several agreements with sport and gambling entities since the beginning of this month. Last week, the company inked a new partnership with NBA. Earlier in November, Sportradar Integrity Services joined forces with another sports organization: Basketball Australia. Before that, looking to safeguard basketball across Europe, Sportradar inked deals with two more organizations.

We have witnessed growing integrity threats over the years, particularly due to recent global events, as well as an increasing betting interest in sports such as handball, and so are excited to have entered into this partnership with the SHV. At Sportradar, we are fully committed to assisting our partners’ integrity efforts and look forward to working together with the SHV to support the integrity of Swiss handball in the years ahead.
