Tom Ustunel Appointed as New Chief Executive at Sportingtech
LISTEN TO THIS ARTICLE:Sportingtech has announced the appointment of Tom Ustunel as its new chief executive. Ustunel is coming to the role after serving as betting and gaming director at News UK.
In his new position, Ustunel is charged with leading Sportingtech’s growth initiatives in 2024 and the years to come, with a significant emphasis on boosting the company’s footprint in the LATAM gambling market.
A Wealth of Experience
Ustunel is no stranger to Sportingtech, having worked with the company for a number of years through his First Gen Consulting business. Prior to that, he spent more than two years with GAN as vice president of gaming operations and chief of gaming operations.
Ustunel gained considerable experience during his nearly seven-year stint at News UK, during which time he held roles such as head of betting, bingo and gaming, and betting and gaming director. Prior to leaving the organization in May 2020, Ustunel was responsible for a significant expansion of its gaming business and oversaw the migration of the Sun Bingo and Fabulous Bingo brands to Playtech’s bingo network.
