Two Jackpots Worth $625K Hit Flamingo on Las Vegas Strip
Two players at the Flamingo on the Las Vegas Strip won progressive jackpots totaling more than $625,000 in one night.
Caesars Entertainment confirmed that two guests hit major progressive jackpots on Three Card Poker on Saturday at the Flamingo. A birthday visitor from Lambertville, New Jersey, identified as TueSdee F., landed a straight flush and collected $149,944 after the machine paid the major progressive jackpot. Later the same evening, Tim H., visiting from Anoka, Minnesota, hit a royal flush on the same game and walked away with $475,669 after the mega progressive jackpot paid out.
"We congratulate both guests on their incredible wins," said a Caesars Entertainment spokesperson. "Progressive payouts like these highlight the excitement of our table game offerings and create unforgettable moments for our guests."
TueSdee F., who celebrated her birthday during the visit, described the win as a shock. "I went to celebrate my birthday and this was the best surprise, I still can't believe it," she said. Tim H. said he already has plans for his windfall. "I plan to put this toward my retirement. It's an amazing feeling to have this security," he said.
High-value jackpot activity has been widespread across the Las Vegas Valley this week. At Station Casinos' Sunset Station, a progressive hit on a Phoenix Cash slot returned more than $102,000. Locals reported smaller but still notable wins at Boulder Station, Four Queens and Palace Station, where guests struck jackpots ranging from roughly $10,000 to $28,000 on a mix of slot titles and video keno. While major wins like these capture attention, unusual payout incidents have also made headlines, such as a recent case where a William Hill error paid out millions.
"When you see two six-figure progressive hits at the same game in a matter of hours, it underlines both the allure and randomness of progressive systems," said a Las Vegas-based gaming analyst. "Operators structure these pools to build excitement and encourage play, but players should remember that the odds remain long, the attraction is the size of the potential payoff rather than the frequency of wins."

How Progressive Jackpots Work
Progressive jackpots aggregate a percentage of qualifying bets into a shared prize pool. On single-site progressives, only wagers at that property contribute; linked or wide-area progressives combine spins or bets across multiple machines or venues, creating far larger top prizes. Table-game progressives like those on Three Card Poker typically have tiered payouts - majors and megas, with thresholds set by the operator and seeded contributions from play.
While big jackpots draw attention and foot traffic, they also highlight the volatility of gaming. Industry observers advise players to treat progressive wagers as high-risk, entertainment-driven plays and to budget accordingly. If gambling causes harm, local support organizations and national resources can provide assistance and guidance.
