White Hat Studios Titles Go Live in Michigan with OpenGaming

Light & Wonder has given its OpenGaming platform a significant boost by taking White Hat Studios’ content live in the state of Michigan.

Thanks to the integration, Light & Wonder’s operator partners in Michigan can offer their players White Hat Studios’ vast selection of titles that has been so successful in Europe. The portfolio includes branded games such as Ted, Deal or No Deal, and Beavis and Butthead. Together with these, there is land-based inspired content from studios such as Merkur Gaming and Reel Time Gaming.

Those operators using the OpenGaming platform will also be able to benefit from the Jackpot Royale.

Last year, White Hat gaming purchased a number of games and an RGS for the US market from Blueprint Gaming, the UK’s largest slot provider, and all of these titles will now be available in Michigan as well.

The company is hoping for further launches in the US and Light & Wonder aims to take White Hat Studios titles live in all regulated states within a year through the OpenGaming platform.

The content has long been among the top-performing in a wide range of regulated markets in Europe and North America and there’s no doubt it’s also set to prove hugely popular with players in the regulated U.S. market. The deal we signed with White Hat Studios to bring these titles onto the OpenGaming™ platform in the U.S. was huge for us as we seek to enhance our already strong position in a region that is set to blossom. The portfolio we have access to is incredible and it’s a great moment for us to be able to take this first step in a larger roll-out by putting it before players in Michigan.

The CEO of White Hat Studios, Andy Whitworth, said that it was crucial the company chose the correct aggregation platform partner to achieve rapid entry to the US. He said that they are “proud” of the Michigan launch and will soon be going live in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

He described the OpenGaming platform as having “an unrivalled distribution network and scalability”, both of which will be vital assets as they expand into more states.
