4 Cities in Competition for a New ICE Location

Clarion Gaming has started the next phase of its research to determine the future location of the International Casino Exhibition (ICE), the world's largest B2B gaming event. In partnership with specialist consultants Equimore, which has worked with major event brands, including the MWC Barcelona, a finalist shortlist of four cities has been created. The cities are Barcelona, London, Madrid, and Paris.

Alex Pratt, Group Managing Director, Clarion Gaming

Each city will be making a formal bid to host ICE for the period 2025 – 2029. The four short-listed cities will progress through a selection process with the help of the experienced and knowledgeable team at Equimore, which is overseeing every aspect of what is a robust program.

The selection process will be customer-focused and will be made in the best interests of the stakeholders and the global gaming industry. The selection process will consider factors such as capacity, facilities, dateline availability, transport connectivity, and hospitality infrastructure, including accommodation costs.

"In the interests of transparency, Clarion will not be making any further comment during the official process," adds Pratt.

Clarion Gaming and Equimore are working together to ensure that the host city for ICE will meet the high criteria set for the event. The four shortlisted cities are being evaluated based on various factors, including their ability to accommodate growth and provide a suitable environment for the gaming industry. The final decision will be announced in Q3 2023.
