The multimillion-dollar payout struck early Wednesday morning on an IGT Megabucks Mega Vault slot machine at Resorts World on the Las Vegas Strip, the property said in a statement. The casino confirmed this was the first Megabucks progressive to hit at Resorts World since the resort opened in June 2021.
The winning guest, who was visiting Las Vegas to see family, has not been publicly identified. Resorts World said the player was staying on-site when the machine issued the statewide progressive prize. Casino representatives described the moment as celebratory but did not disclose whether the winner plans to remain anonymous.
