AGB Announces Plans for ASEAN Gaming Summit 2022
Asia Gaming Brief, the organizer of the popular ASEAN Gaming Summit, has confirmed that next year’s conference will be taking place on 21-23 March 2022, at the Shangri-La at the Fort in Manila.
The conference regularly brings together numerous influential gaming executives from the Philippines and across Asia. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, it has not taken place for the last two years.
Fortunately, in recent months Manila has been making great progress in reopening its economy. For instance, this week, it was announced by Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Benjamin “Benhur” Abalos Jr. that 92% of Manila’s population is expected to be vaccinated by December. As such, Asia Gaming Brief is feeling confident that next year’s conference will be able to go ahead.
We’re excited to be able to bring back the ASEAN Gaming Summit next year, and we are encouraged by the rapid vaccination rate in the Philippines, particularly Metro Manila. We’re now gearing up to bring the industry its first conference in Manila post-pandemic, aimed at reigniting growth in one of Asia’s biggest gaming jurisdictions. We look forward to welcoming anyone looking to reconnect with the gaming industry in Asia once again.
It is predicted that more than 300 gaming executives from Asia’s land-based and online gaming industry will attend the three-day event, including several representatives from the region’s regulators and governments.
Ng added that the event will “be bringing back our world-class conference” and that it will offer a “packed agenda” full of the industry’s most influential players. He explained that central to the conference will be networking activities “aimed at bringing business partners together, new and old”.
Asia Gaming Brief is a market intelligence, events and networking company focused on the gaming industry in the Asia Pacific. They organize regular conferences bringing together the region’s top gambling executives.
