Fanatics appointed Wright in May 2022 from his previous position as Trading Director at KingMakers. During his tenure, Fanatics achieved several milestones, including launching its sportsbook offering in January 2023.

Additionally, Fanatics became the first sports betting operator to open a retail sportsbook within a National Football League (NFL) stadium, specifically at FedExField in Maryland. The company also launched its online casino in November 2023.

Furthermore, Wright's time saw Fanatics acquire PointsBet's US business for $225 million, a move that has seen it expand its offerings and presence across many markets in the United States.

As some of you know, I recently left Fanatics after a fantastic two years helping Matthew King & team build the betting and gaming division. I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity, and I learnt a huge amount in that time - particularly some new business lingo but I won't 'double click' into that just now. Now, it's time to recharge the batteries and spend more time with the family before finding a new venture. All the best to the team at Fanatics Betting & Gaming - I'll be cheering you on from afar!
