Betfair Signs Brazilian Footballer Ronaldo Nazario as Brand Ambassador
Ronaldo Nazário, the Brazilian football superstar, has been signed by Betfair International to represent the company as a global brand ambassador.
Ronaldo is a Brazilian legend and was part of the teams that lifted the World Cup in 1994 and 2002. This deal from Betfair, part of Flutter Entertainment, comes on the 20th anniversary of the win in Japan in 2002. Also, Ronaldo is added to quite an extensive list of brand ambassadors that represent Betfair, including another Brazilian footballing great, Rivaldo, who has also partnered with the brand.
Joining the Betfair team of ambassadors is an honor, I will wear, once again, the same shirt as Rivaldo, something we did 20 years ago and makes us very proud to this day. I have no doubt that this partnership with Betfair will bring many amazing experiences to football fans. In a year of World Cup, fans can expect a lot of news from Betfair and Ronaldo together, every result is possible.
Betfair International has also created a video highlights package to showcase the three-time World Player of the Year Ronaldo's greatest achievements.
This latest move is the continuation of a strategy at Betfair to increase its activities in the South American market. The company has become the sponsor of the Conmebol Libertadores and Sudamericana club competition in the region, as well as having the naming rights for the Campeonato Carioca in the 2022 season.
