CasinoBeats Game Developer Awards Release Shortlist of Contendors
SBC, a leading information and events company in the betting and gaming industry, has revealed the shortlists for the prestigious CasinoBeats Game Developer Awards.
The awards recognize and celebrate the talent behind the most successful game titles in the industry. The awards ceremony will take place at the InterContinental Hotel on 25 May and will be presented by Trudy Kerr.
Relax Gaming has taken the lead with an impressive ten nominations across multiple categories, followed by ELK Studios with six nominations. Blueprint Gaming and Light & Wonder are also among the strong contenders, with five nominations each.
The 'Streamer of the Year' category recognizes the growing importance of streamers, who, with their influential presence, are shaping the industry's landscape. The category saw the shortlist narrowed down to ten remarkable streamers, including Brian Christopher, CasinoDaddy, Chipmonkz, and others.
The Game Performance categories, which were not open for nominations, saw a highly contested Slot of the Year category. Pragmatic Play won the title last year, but Relax Gaming is poised to challenge its dominance with two entries of their own - Dead Riders Trail and Money Train 3.
In the Best Studio Debut Game category, four exciting slots will compete for the top spot, including Mustang Freedom by Barbara Bang, Dog Days by Nailed It! Games, and others. Meanwhile, in the Slot Legacy Title category, three titles from Blueprint Gaming and two from NetEnt are shortlisted, competing against five other established titles.
The Game Innovation Spotlight Award provides an opportunity for shortlisted companies to showcase their games at the CasinoBeats Summit's Game Innovation Stage on the exhibition floor and pitch their games to a panel of esteemed judges. Entries are from renowned companies such as Caleta Gaming, ELK Studios, Wazdan, and Vibra Gaming.
In the six Game Creation categories that were open for nominations, Blue Guru Games has been shortlisted for two categories, ELK Studios for four categories, Hacksaw Gaming for three categories, Relax Gaming for four categories, and Swintt for three categories.
In the Game People categories that were open for nominations, the shortlist of talented individuals who have been nominated in their respective categories - Product Manager, Game Designer, and Game Composer - can be accessed on the dedicated website.
