LONDON, February 15, 2024 / -- eCOGRA is excited to announce its recent authorization by the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR) to function as a Certification Laboratory within Peru. This authorization allows eCOGRA to provide its comprehensive range of iGaming testing, inspection, and certification (TIC) services in the country.

This development follows closely on the heels of eCOGRA's announcement regarding the inauguration of their new office in Colorado and the addition of key senior team members in the U.S, highlighting another pivotal step in eCOGRA's strategic global expansion.

The inclusion of Peru adds to eCOGRA's impressive global presence, now spanning 38 jurisdictions. With eCOGRA's renowned capacity and expertise, the company is ideally positioned to meet the needs of operators and suppliers in compliance with Peruvian regulations. All companies offering online gambling and sports betting services in Peru are required to submit their applications to MINCETUR by March 13, 2024, to secure authorization for operation.

For the first time, this significant economic activity is being regulated in our country. With this move, Peru joins Colombia and Argentina as the third South American country to regulate online gambling, marking a significant milestone in our region.
