FansUnite Gets Go-Ahead to Offer Services in Ontario
Sports and entertainment technology provider FansUnite Entertainment Inc has been granted a license by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) to provide sports betting and internet gaming solutions to licensed operators in Ontario.
FansUnite will join other licensed iGaming operators and providers such as 888, Penn National Gaming, and Rivalry Gaming in launching their services in Ontario this April, contributing to the fast-growing online casino Ontario market.
In February, iGaming Ontario, the gaming division of AGCO, revealed that the Ontario iGaming market would launch by April 4. It also announced that it would regulate online gaming and license operators in the jurisdiction.
One of the criteria the gaming division checks before approving online gaming entities is GLI-33 certification and accreditation by the Responsible Gambling Council.
We are pleased to receive approval from the AGCO to operate as a sports betting and iGaming solutions supplier within Ontario. As we scale our operations, we are focused on both the domestic and international markets. The gaming-related supplier license will enable us to gain an early-mover advantage within the Canadian online gambling industry as a betting solutions provider for new sportsbooks and online casinos looking to enter the market. We look forward to continuing to work with iGaming Ontario in delivering cutting-edge betting solutions in compliance with AGCO regulations.
