Flutter Entertainment Makes Changes to Its Senior Management

Flutter Entertainment, the giant gaming and sports betting operator, has announced a couple of changes to its key leadership personnel, with Paul Edgecliffe-Johnson joining the company as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Jonathan Hill moving to the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Paul Edgecliffe-Johnson is set to join as Group CFO from his current position with IHG at the start of 2023.

Jonathan Hill is the current CFO, and he stays with the organisation but moves to the role of COO which has been newly created within the Flutter group. He will remain in the post of COO until Edgecliffe-Johnson takes over next year to ensure a smooth transition period.

Edgecliffe-Johnson has 25 years of industry experience and comes from IHG, where he served as CFO and Group Head of Strategy during his spell at the company. He also had senior leadership roles at HSBC before joining IHG.

When Hill starts his role as the new COO in the new year, he will be tasked with leading the Flutter Group's future strategy. Senior members of the management team believe that Hill's years of experience at Flutter make him the ideal candidate to shape the future development of the company.

I am delighted that Paul will join us next year as Group CFO. I am confident that his highly relevant skills and experience will help us to take advantage of the significant opportunities before us and will be invaluable as we continue to execute our strategy. I also wish to acknowledge Jonathan for all he has done for Flutter to date, and I am very pleased that the Group will continue to benefit from his experience in establishing the new COO function.
