Former Penn Interactive Exec Gets New Role at BetMGM

BetMGM has named Rhea Loney as its new Chief Compliance Officer.

Before her new role, Loney worked as the Vice President of compliance and regulatory affairs at Penn Interactive. Prior to that, she was the brand’s Director of Compliance.

Loney has also gained salient experience working at the Louisiana State Racing Commission, where she held the role of assistant attorney general for eight-and-a-half years.

I’m thrilled to play a meaningful role in BetMGM’s continued commitment to excellence in compliance. BetMGM is uniquely positioned in the market, and we will continue to be a leader and innovator in responsible gaming and compliance.

Loney’s new position at BetMGM comes with primary responsibilities like overseeing the brand’s compliance department, including online and retail operational compliance, registration and licensing anti-money laundering and financial compliance, and responsible gaming.

Rhea brings extensive industry knowledge and regulatory experience to BetMGM and is a phenomenal addition to our team as we continue to grow rapidly in a dynamic industry.

The addition of Rhea Loney is strategic to BetMGM’s goals of expanding and acquiring licenses in new gaming markets. Earlier this month, the operator signed a multi-year deal with the Cincinnati Reds that saw it become the official sports betting sponsor of the Ohio-based football team.
