IGT’s Wheel of Fortune and Powerbucks Slots Create Four New Millionaires
International Game Technology (IGT), a global supplier of casino games and technology, revealed that its slots Wheel of Fortune and Powerbucks created four new millionaires in March.
LISTEN TO THIS ARTICLE:A total of more than $5 million was awarded in jackpots last month. The first jackpot was won on March 8 by a player at the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi. They were spinning the reels of Wheel of Fortune Triple Gold Gold Spin and won $1,254,996.
The next prize was won on March 12 at The Venetian Las Vegas in Nevada where a Wheel of Fortune player won the biggest of March’s jackpots, $1,635,694.
March’s third jackpot win took place on March 22 in British Columbia, Canada. A player at Chances Casino Kelowna was enjoying the Wheel of Fortune Lucky Coins On Stage game when they hit the jackpot of CA$1,485,994.
The final win of the month came on March 30. It also took place in Las Vegas at the California Hotel & Casino. The lucky player hit a jackpot of $1,172,262 while spinning Wheel of Fortune Gold Spin Triple Red Hot 7s.

Creating Millionaires Since 1996
According to IGT, the Wheel of Fortune series of slot machines have created more than 1,100 millionaires since the first was launched in 1996 and they have paid out more than $3.5 billion in jackpots.
The company also said that its Powerbucks slot games have paid out 56 jackpots worth more than a million dollars since they were launched in Canada in 2016.
Changes to the IGT Board
In other news, IGT recently announced a number of new appointments to its board. Marco Drago left his role as a non-executive director and his son, Enrico Drago, joined as a non-executive director. Meanwhile, Gil Rotem was appointed as the new president of the company’s PlayDigital division.
Last month, IGT published its results for 2023 and said that it had achieved its goals for the year. The company also announced the merger of its Global Gaming and PlayDigital businesses with Everi Holdings.
