Industry Leaders Head to SBC Summit Barcelona
An exciting line-up of speakers has been unveiled for the SBC Summit Barcelona, taking place from 20 to 22 September.
The iGaming event will look at the opportunities and challenges posed by the gambling industry. There will be ten sessions led by C-level executives with vast amount of experience in the industry.
The keynote session is titled "Navigating the opportunities and growing pains of global transformation." It will include speakers such as Jesper Svensson (CEO, Betsson Group), Paris Smith (CEO, Pinnacle), Alexander Stevendahl (CEO, Videoslots), and David Flynn (CEO, Glitnor Group). They will be looking at how global transformation is affecting the industry, the opportunities it brings, and strategies for dealing with market expansion.
A second session, "Omnichannel leaders - physical customers in a digital world," will look at how retail operators have been changing their businesses, the role of automation, and the shrinking gap between retail and online. The session will be run by Alexander Martin (CEO, SKS363), Darko Živanov (CEO, MaxBet Group), Corey Plummer (Chairman and CEO, Olympic Entertainment Group), and Eric Olders (CEO, JVH Gaming / JOI Gaming), while Cecilia Paolino-Uboldi, (Director of International Strategic Partnerships, Carnival Corporation) will be moderating.
A third session, "Marketing leaders - competition in traditional and emerging markets," will look at the challenges posed by local advertising and licensing requirements. The speakers will include Elen Barber (CMO, Kindred Group), Carmelo Mazza (CEO, Betaland/Enjoybet), Carla Maree Vella (CMO, betPawa), Alvaro González Carel (CMO, RETAbet). It will be moderated by Huw Owen Thomas (SVP, Group CMO, OpenBet).
There will also be a session on "'The Innovators panel - growing your business in a competitive market," and it will be run by Dersim Sylwan (CEO, Whitezip), Cristoffer Fröberg (Group CEO, QP Games), and Allan Auning-Hansen (CEO, CEGO & Spilnu.dk).
It is thought that this year's SBC Summit Barcelona will be the biggest ever SBC conference and exhibition with more than 6000 delegates, 200 exhibitors, and 350 speakers. The exhibition floor will be split into five areas, Sports Betting, Casino & iGaming, Payments & Compliance, Affiliate, Marketing & Media and Emerging Tech, Blockchain, and Metaverse.
