Two regulatory organizations in Europe and the US, the Gambling Regulators European Forum (GREF) and the North America Gaming Regulators Association (NAGRA), have announced a partnership that aims to increase collaboration between its members in the two jurisdictions.

GREF and NAGRA to Promote Responsible Gambling

The NAGRA is made up of government, state, local, and tribal agencies that are responsible for overseeing gaming guidelines in regulated gaming states. The GREF brings together multiple regulators across Europe to exchange ideas on gambling legislation.

The GREF and NAGRA say all the stakeholders in the industry want to see an increase in socially responsible gambling, and any collaboration between groups of regulators representing two of the biggest gaming markets will give greater protection to customers and minimize the potential of gambling-related harm.

With public opinion across the globe more and more concerned about the risks related to excessive gambling offers and with the increase of gambling markets and innovations, exchange between regulators worldwide is crucial. Regulators of GREF and NAGRA face the same issues, and I believe that this collaboration will improve the protection of our consumers.

Proposed Joint Meetings and Seminars

Between the NAGRA and GREF, there are about 100 regulators throughout North America and Europe, and under this partnership, they believe that increased collaboration will lead to greater knowledge and expertise that can be shared with each other.

The two bodies will hold joint seminars for its members where changing gambling regulations can be discussed and any known risks associated with these changes will be highlighted.

Sharing knowledge and expertise is at the heart of this agreement, and holding joint meetings will help with the exchange of regulatory information. This also includes speakers from GREF and NAGRA speaking at both organization's conferences.

The power of partnership and collaboration between GREF and NAGRA is important in this ever-evolving industry. The changing landscape and the future of gaming make it imperative that we reach out to other organizations in the industry in order to remain informed as we tirelessly serve our communities. This commitment to collaboration and communication will serve people across the globe.
